Case study – Chris F

Chris started attending ACE part-time when he was in Year 10. Over the course of a year, he achieved BTEC Level 1 in Engineering and a Level 1 in Business Admin. After leaving school following Year 11, he chose to return to ACE to do some post-16 training in Motor Vehicle Technology/Engineering as he felt that ACE provided him a safe environment and he was comfortable with the pace at which lessons were taught and the patience demonstrated by the staff. He has now completed his BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Vehicle Technology, and has updated his Maths and English skills, and has gained some valuable work experience.

Chris said “I have learned a lot about cars, how they work and the components that they are made of. I’ve learned to use a variety of motor vehicle tools and equipment and enjoy working as part of a team”

Chris is now looking for employment or an apprenticeship within the Motor Vehicle industry.
