ACE offers a variety of BTEC courses which are GSCE vocational equivalents at level 1 and level 2. These qualifications form part of the students’ option choice in year 9 and are delivered at ACE to students in year 10 and/or 11. These qualifications count towards their progress 8 score.
ACE offers something different to students who find traditional classroom based learning difficult. This could be due to a number of factors which impact on their learning; anything from not being able to conform and follow the rules in school which results in disengagement to multiple issues in their lives which impact on their ability to engage in schooling.
Alternative to Exclusion
ACE currently runs a number of support programmes for schools, the Exclusion Alternative Package has been added to address the need to place young people who have been given a fixed term exclusion.
Student Rescue Package
This package is designed to support schools where students have become disengaged in a certain subject or subjects, become disruptive and put a strain on the subject teacher and the other students in the class?
Early Intervention for years 7 & 8
